Two Anthranoids Isolated from the Roots of Morinda officinalis How

Two anthraquinones were isolated from the dried roots of Morinda officinalis How collected at Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen province, and identified as 3,8-dihydroxy-1,2-dimethoxyanthraquinone and 2-hydroxy-1,3-dimethoxyanthraquinone. Their chemical structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic analysis. This is the first report of 3,8-dihydroxy-1,2-dimethoxyanthraquinone from the roots of Morinda officinalis and the  nature as well.
