Chemical Compositions from n-Hexane Fraction of Fruits of Docynia indica
Four compounds (1-4) were isolated from n-hexane fraction of the fruits of Docynia indica (Wall.) Decne, Rosaceae. The structures were elucidated to be 1-octacosanol (1), 3-tetracosen (2), β-sitosterol (3), and ursolic acid (4) by MS and NMR spectroscopic data. Among them, compounds 1 and 2 were isolated the first time from genus of Docynia and 1 and 4 occured as major compounds in the n-hexane fraction.
Keywords: Docynia indica, n-hexane, 1-octacosanol, 3-tetracosen.
