Cytotoxic Effects of Uvaria cordata Extracts on Various Cancerous Cell Lines
Some species within the genus Uvaria possess valuable bioactivity, especially anticancer. The purpose of this article is to report the effect of Uvaria cordataagainst cancer cells. Specimen of Uvaria cordata which has never been researched in Vietnam before was collected from Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province. Methanol extract of Uvaria cordata leaf showed strong cytotoxicity towards six of six cancer cell lines at IC50 < 20 µg/ml.
