\n\tIdentifying 3,6,10-trimethyl-7,8,11,11a-tetrahydrocyclodeca -5, 9-dien [b] furan - 2(4h) - on in the Extracts from the Rhizomes of "Nghe tim" (Curcuma aff. Rubens  Roxb.)

\n\tThis research aimed to identify 3,6,10-trimethyl-7,8,11,11a-tetrahydrocyclodeca-5,9-diene[b]furan-2(4H)-one in the extracts from the rhizomes of "nghe tim" (Curcuma aff. rubens Roxb.). The structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data (MS, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, DEPT, COSY, HMBC, HSQC)

\n\tIn this research, the chemical compositions of the extracts from the rhizomes of Curcuma rubens Roxb. in Kon Tum province have been studied.

\n\tTesting the anti-bacterial activity of the extracts from the rhizomes of Curcuma rubens Roxb. at the department of microbiology-Binh Dinh General Hospital showed that these extracts possessed an inhibitory effect against Staphylococcus aureus and were ineffective for Escherichia coli and Candida albicans.
