Gene Transformation into Leaf Tissues of Artemisia annua L. for Hairy-root Initiation

The medium B5 was favoured for root initiation. Strong initiation of root was from the leaves used as materials supplemented with NAA (0.5 mg/l). Cytokinin (BA, kinetin) and IAA, IBA were not favoured for root initiation in cultures. Leaves of invitro plantlets were used as materials for gene transformation. The method of Agrobacterium for gene transformation was effectiveness to obtain the leaves having gene transformation and release Agrobacterium. Hairy-roots were established on B5 medium without plant hormone; and used as materials for far research.
