Summary

Ombuin, Quercetin Isolated from Gynostemma laxum (Wall.) Cogn.

Ombuin and quercetin were isolated from ethanol extracts of the aerial parts ofGynostemma laxum (Wall.) Cogn. by various chromatography methods. Their chemical structures were elucidated by spectroscopies (UV, IR, MS, ¹H-NMR,¹³C-NMR, DEPT, HMBC, HSQC). This is the first report of these compounds from Gynostemma laxum in Hoa Binh province (Vietnam).
