\n\tTwo samples of essential oil of Ageratum conyzoides from Hanoi (Vietnam) were obtained by hydrodistillation of the aerial parts of plants exhibiting violin and white flowers respectively. They were subsequently analyzed by GC, GC-MS and 13C-NMR. Both samples were characterized by the presence of high percentages of precocene I, precocene II and (E)-caryophyllene, but differed by the relative percentages of the three main components.
