Summary

Initial Study on Chemical Constituents of Hedyotis pilulifera

Phytochemical study on the aerial parts of Hedyotis pilulifera led to the isolation of four compounds, including stigmast-4-ene-3,6-dione (1), 2,3-dihydroxy-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-propan-1-one (2), icariol A₂-9-O-β-xylopyranoside (3), and adenosine (4). Their structures were determined using one and two dimensional NMR, mass spectrometry techniques and in comparison with the reported NMR data in the literature.
