\n\tSummary
\n\tStudy of Medicinal Plant Named Diep ha chau (Phyllanthus spp.) Growing in South Vietnam
\n\t(Part II: Investigation of alkaloidal components of Phyllanthus amarus Schum et Thonn.)
\n\tThe chemical constituents of aerial part of Phyllanthus amarus was investigated. It was founded that alkaloids are one of the main composition of these active fractions. From a crude alkaloid 3 compounds tentatively named Pa1, Pa2, Pa3, and V1 were isolated from the crude alkaloid extract. The physico-chemical characteristic of Pa1, Pa2, Pa3, and V1 were investigated by means of NMR and MS and by comparision with published NMR data. Pa2, Pa3 were determinated to be epibubbialine and isobubbialine, the known alkaloids in Phyllanthus amarus. Pa1 was identified as nirurine, a known major alkaloid of Phyllanthus niruri L. but has not reported as a constituent of Phyllanthus amarus Schum. & Thonn., so far. V1 is uracil, a free base pyrimidine also to report in P. amarus for the first time. These alkaloids were used for the quantitative and qualititative determination of raw material extracts and final products by means of Capillary Electrophoresis. The in vivo pharmacological activity on Hep G2 and Caco 2 cell lines of total alkaloid, nirurine and epibubbialine will be reported on other paper.
